Therapeutic Style
I get along great with kids and teens- building rapport is so important with this population and gaining trust is key. Because I aim to work with their parents and improve relationships at home, it’s imperative to develop this relationship as well as with their parents. I feel I am very easy to talk to, understand child and teen culture, and teach social skills in an ecologically relevant way. Therapeutically, I work from a CBT and systemic framework to accomplish this.
What Makes Me Unique
I have taught social skills and parent coaching for over 15 years. In addition, I’ve attended school meetings and consulted at almost every school in Palm Beach County over the years. I have also run internship and postdoctoral programs at both my practice and elsewhere for almost 15 years so clinical supervision is also a distinct passion of mine and I think is a relevant piece to how I interact in therapy as well.
