Therapeutic Style
I approach therapy first and foremost from the perspective of my clients. I aim to understand your point of view and your experience of the world as accurately as possible. I then combine multiple modalities depending on what you are seeking treatment for, your needs, and your specific therapy goals. I believe that problems can originate in many different aspects of our lives and then show up in our daily functioning, creating places where you may feel stuck. I focus on helping you enact the change you'd like to see in your life by identifying and working on those stuck points. My work is grounded in existentialism - I aim to help clients confront the intensity and inherent conflicts of being human. I believe in going at the client's own pace and at the same time pushing them a bit beyond their comfort zone. My ultimate goal is to help people identify and live their best lives possible.
What Makes Me Unique
I use an integrated modality tailored to the client, with a client-centered foundation, and harnessing interventions from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-focused, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) as they become appropriate for my client’s needs and goals. I have experience treating many different client concerns, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD/Autism/neurodivergence, relationship issues, and those feeling stuck in life. I have a background in the performing arts and deeply understand issues pertaining to the entertainment and LGBTQIA+ communities. I also have a particular interest in parent/adult child relationships and young adults in life transition. My hope is that when working with me, my clients feel validated and understood, yet stretched a bit farther towards their goals. Sessions will focus on what you want to achieve and how you want to achieve it. I aim to give my clients the ultimate support and guidance on the road to living their best lives. I see myself as walking alongside you on your journey and assisting you to uncover what you already know or would like to find out about yourself.

Coping with “Invisible Grief” During the Holidays
Grief is complicated, complex and heavy. As a grief therapist and an active griever myself, I know how difficult the holidays can feel especially when you are coping with disenfranchised grief, or “invisible grief” as I like to call it. After a while, all grief feels invisible in western culture, we barely acknowledge grief, even though it is a natural part of life and something we all go through. However, there is some grief that we are truly given no tools for, and it feels like we do not have any space at all to grieve.
