Therapeutic Style
My therapeutic style is very warm and personable - over the years, my clients have continually shared that I am someone they quickly felt comfortable with. I am not afraid to bring humor or (appropriate) sarcasm to my work, and I am excellent at being able to read my clients and their personalities to match where they're at and help build that connection. I build long-term relationships with my clients, and throughout my career I have always been the clinician who has clients who will work with me for a period of time, get to a better place and take a pause, and then return to me if/when they need to in the future. My work with clients is very depth-focused - I am not afraid to dig deep, really get to know my clients and their past experiences, and build connections to their present - my clients are continually impressed by what I remember and help them connect. I also use a lot of metaphors and analogies to bring life to the points I am trying to make or to help my clients easily remember a concept to practice in their every-day life. With that said, I have a dynamically attuned therapeutic approach that weaves genuine human connection with that clinical depth - I am both a warm, relatable human who can laugh about life's absurdities, crack a joke, or listen fervently to the 'tea,' while also being a skilled clinician who can elicit and hold space for my clients' most vulnerable parts. We're going to march through the trauma, but my clients' healing doesn't have to be a grim march through that trauma. In their work with me, my clients feel as though their therapist is a real person who can hold all parts of them - the messy, the funny, the profound, and the painful while also guiding and fostering their growth.
What Makes Me Unique
I bring a unique blend of clinical expertise and genuine human connection to my work, which has allowed me to effectively support a diverse range of clients throughout my career, regardless of diagnosis or how their struggles show up. My extensive training in trauma and anxiety provides the evidence-based foundation that grounds everything I do, but it's the real connection that makes the work transformative. Being licensed in multiple states has also become especially valuable for my young adult and college-aged clients. They don't have to lose their therapeutic relationship just because they're heading to school in Vermont or South Carolina - we can maintain that continuity that's so crucial during major life transitions. There's something powerful about being able to stick with your therapist when everything else in your life is changing.

How to Start Advocating for Your Child at Any Age or Stage
Whether your baby was born early or full-term, parenting is a constant process of discovery. Even now, six years after I gave birth to my daughter, I tell her, “Sweetie, you and mommy are both learning on the job.” Some children hit their milestones effortlessly. Others need a little (or a lot) of extra support along the way. What matters most isn’t where your child starts; it’s how you respond when they need someone in their corner. Whether you’re navigating challenges now or simply want to feel more confident supporting your child in the future, this blog is for you. Advocating for your child isn’t about having all the answers; it’s about being prepared to ask questions, trust your instincts, and show up in ways that will help your child flourish.
