Therapeutic Style
I hone my skills within the humanistic-existential theory and more specifically implement emotion-focused therapy (EFT) in my work with clients. EFT emphasizes a strong therapeutic relationship and working alliance, which sets the framework for more experiential activities, like chair work, to process primary and secondary feelings and begin the healing process. I have noticed that EFT seems to be a type of theory that clients have not yet encountered, so this new way of approaching their trauma/general struggles can help them in areas they may have felt stuck in for years. I have also been trained in and implement other theories such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Contextual Treatment of Complex Trauma (CTT).
What Makes Me Unique
Clinically, I have a certification in Prolonged Exposure (PE) therapy. I have special experience and didactic training in working with individuals with complex trauma and eating disorders through my previous internship position in the Trauma, Resolution, and Integration Program (TRIP). While not in my niche area, I also hold a certification in the administration, scoring, and interpretation of the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2) and provide psychological evaluations, as well. As a supervisor at Nova Southeastern University's Psychology Services Center (within the specialty trauma clinic), I serve as a leader in guiding and mentoring doctoral students with their cases, research, and general professionalism. This role allows me to not only hone my skills as a supervisor, but also as a leader within the university community. Additionally, my role at Nova expands my referral network to a large swath of South Florida, from Palm Beach to Fort Lauderale and the surrounding areas. Creatively, I feel that my therapeutic style brings a more unique approach to client care that not everybody offers. Additionally, as a newer clinician, I feel motivated to build my name within the communities I serve and provide the most up-to-date and evidenced-based therapies to clients.

How to Start Advocating for Your Child at Any Age or Stage
Whether your baby was born early or full-term, parenting is a constant process of discovery. Even now, six years after I gave birth to my daughter, I tell her, “Sweetie, you and mommy are both learning on the job.” Some children hit their milestones effortlessly. Others need a little (or a lot) of extra support along the way. What matters most isn’t where your child starts; it’s how you respond when they need someone in their corner. Whether you’re navigating challenges now or simply want to feel more confident supporting your child in the future, this blog is for you. Advocating for your child isn’t about having all the answers; it’s about being prepared to ask questions, trust your instincts, and show up in ways that will help your child flourish.
