Therapeutic Style
My therapeutic approach is relational, collaborative, and grounded in trauma-informed care. I work from the understanding that emotional experiences do not exist in isolation, but are shaped by relationships, culture, history, and systems of power. I incorporate mindfulness and body-based practices when helpful, especially in moments where words feel limiting or overwhelming. Therapy with me is a space to slow down, notice patterns, and build greater awareness and compassion toward yourself and others. I work with adults, couples, and families, and I am intentional about creating an affirming environment where BIPOC and queer clients feel supported, respected, and seen.
What Makes Me Unique
My work is deeply informed by my lived experience as a queer Black immigrant and my commitment to non-pathologizing, anti-oppressive care. I am particularly attuned to how capitalism, societal expectations, and intergenerational dynamics contribute to stress, anxiety, and disconnection. I support individuals, couples, and families navigating identity, relational challenges, and life transitions, and I approach each therapeutic relationship with care, accountability, and curiosity. I am licensed to practice in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, and I aim to offer therapy that supports clients in developing greater emotional grounding, clarity, and more intentional ways of living and relating.

How to Start Advocating for Your Child at Any Age or Stage
Whether your baby was born early or full-term, parenting is a constant process of discovery. Even now, six years after I gave birth to my daughter, I tell her, “Sweetie, you and mommy are both learning on the job.” Some children hit their milestones effortlessly. Others need a little (or a lot) of extra support along the way. What matters most isn’t where your child starts; it’s how you respond when they need someone in their corner. Whether you’re navigating challenges now or simply want to feel more confident supporting your child in the future, this blog is for you. Advocating for your child isn’t about having all the answers; it’s about being prepared to ask questions, trust your instincts, and show up in ways that will help your child flourish.

Navigating Holiday Transitions as a Family: Staying Grounded Before, During, and After the Season
The holiday season is in full swing, and holiday transitions can feel like a full-body experience for families. The season arrives in stages planning, gathering, traveling, unwinding each with its own blend of joy, pressure, overstimulation, and emotional complexity. Kids feel these transitions too, often more intensely, which means many parents find themselves managing two layers of needs: their child’s nervous system and their own. This article offers simple ways to stay steady throughout the full arc of the season: before, during, and after the holidays.
